Bruce Campbell revealed the details of the new “Evil Dead”

Despite the fact that in the new part “Evil Dead“subtitled”Insurrection“(Rise) will not feature Ash Williams, the Necronomicon book that led to all the hell in previous films and TV series, will take place in the plot. Entertainment Weekly told the actor Bruce Campbell, who embodied on the screen the image of a cult fighter against evil spirits.

According to the actor, in the upcoming Uprising, the dark grimoire will become the only link with the previous parts.

“People can call the film whatever they want: a sequel, a remake, a reimagining. In fact, it’s just another part of The Evil Dead. The story is based on the book” Necronomicon “. Where does this book go and what happens to it over the millennia?”, – explains Bruce Campbell.

Bruce Campbell also noted that the action of the new “Evil Dead” will unfold in an urban environment, and not a cabin in the woods, and the picture itself will be significantly different from the previous parts, offering a story from the perspective of female heroines.

In addition, the actor stressed that he, along with Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, acts as a producer and is involved in the creative process, including the script for the film.

The plot of the new “Evil Dead” will tell about the separated sisters performed by Alyssa Sutherland (“Vikings“) and Lily Sullivan (“Dream girl“), whose reunion will be prevented by the appearance of demons, forcing the heroines to join the battle for survival.

Filming is currently taking place in New Zealand with Lee Cronin (“Other“,”50 states of fear“). The premiere is expected at HBO Max
