Online this morning appeared Images Abandonedallegedly taken from the account Hasan Kahramana in Playstation network… On them you can see some locations, including the forest from the first teaser of the game.
True, the screenshots are too dark and it is difficult to see anything on them. Users increased the brightness in one of the photos and noticed something like a mushroom in the background behind the wall.
If you boost the levels on those leaked Abandoned screens there’s a big obvious mushroom that screams ‘collectible food item’. Makes me think this is going to be a horror themed survival craft-em-up. pic.twitter.com/fdykLCpvw5

After some time, the developer confirmed that the images were real. They are taken from an early 2019 build of the game. Then Blue Box Game Studios tried to get the project to work on PS4 Pro at 4K resolution at 60 FPS, and even used an 8K texture pack. The outdated console could not pull like this and the studio switched to a more powerful PS5.
Well, the 2019 version was a lot different back then. But it was to test the PS4’s max power. It was running on PS4 Pro with native 3840 x 2160 resolution targeting 60 FPS with 8k textures. It did work but the PS4 version wasn’t powerful enough to create a full game.

Abandoned is set to release before the end of the year. In August, the developers promise to release a full-fledged trailer, which will be distributed through a special application.
