At the request of fans: Nintendo revealed new details of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

Company Nintendo and studio Monolith soft continue to share details Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition for Switch. This time, the authors talked about additional features that were implemented in the game, taking into account the feedback from fans.

  • As previously reported, for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, composers completely re-recorded the soundtrack, and players will have the opportunity to switch between old and new versions of music tracks at any time. At the same time, Nintendo clarified that the authors went even further and added the ability, for example, to explore the world with an updated soundtrack, and fight under the original, and vice versa. Players will be able to adjust this moment based on their personal preferences.
  • In addition, the game has options to mute the heroes in battle – making attacks, they constantly scream, and this prevents some players from enjoying music. Muffling will also allow effects from beats, and the soundtrack itself will make it louder. The same is true for all cutscenes – players are free to adjust the volume level of voices and music separately from each other.
  • The game will be released worldwide with two sound tracks – Japanese and English. You can also switch between them at will.. Also in all versions English, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Italian, German, Chinese and French subtitles are presented.
  • The creators also updated the task interface and made navigation more convenient when completing quests. The affinity chart in the menu has also been redesigned – new information about NPCs and their location has appeared.

Meanwhile, cards with download codes for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition went on sale in Japan, and they revealed additional information about the Future Connected prologue, which was developed specifically for the Switch game.

In particular, the description says that the plot episode will unfold in a new location and offer a new combat system with the participation of Nopons. Future Connected events take place a year after the completion of the history of the main game. The central characters are Shulk and Melia.

The game starts simultaneously around the world on May 29, 2020.
