Blizzard apologizes for Warcraft III: Reforged, players can apply for a refund through Battle.net

The release of the re-release of the cult strategy turned into a scandal when it turned out that Reforged is not quite the game that the developers originally promised. As a result, users brought down the project rating to Metacritic to 0.5 points and began to demand a refund. Blizzard reacted to this with a ban of discussion on the forum, which gave advice on refand, which only further angered gamers.

At the same time, employees from the company reacted to criticism Lemon sky, which helped in the development of a remaster. Some critics accused Reforged of the failure of the contractor, however, representatives of the support studio explained that they only created about 70% of the assets, while the assembly of the final game was already carried out inside Blizzard. Lemon Sky also has nothing to do with cutscenes and the initial version of the updated interface.

In a message published on the night of February 3–4, the Blizzard community manager thanked the players for the feedback provided, and also apologized for the studio’s failure to release a product whose quality would match the audience’s expectations. The team promises to keep Warcraft III: Reforged afloat, and work on patches is already in full swing. So, at the end of the week an update will be released that will correct the incorrect palette when playing in Classic mode, animation of character portraits, sound glitches, and also make some changes to the interface.

In the next couple of weeks, Blizzard intends to introduce a roadmap for updates, within which Clans and leaderboards will be returned. At the same time, the company does not intend to return tournaments and rule sets from Reign of chaos, as they allegedly enjoyed low popularity. The studio advises everyone who is unhappy to go into user modes.

As for the cutscene situation, the developers allegedly did not want them to be very different from the original game. True, the question arises: why then was the promise made?

Studio also created a form on Battle.net to issue a refund. How buyers report, it does not matter how many people spent time in the game.

However, the players are not satisfied with the reaction of the studio, since Blizzard kept silent about poor optimization, changes in the user agreement and ban. People also demand that they return the classic version. Warcraft iii.
