Recently THQ Nordic announced that due to technical limitations Biomutant on PlayStation 5 (via PS4 backward compatibility) will only work in 1080p – at least at launch.
At the same time, the action movie will offer dynamic 4K at 60 FPS on the Xbox Series X, although the game there also works under backward compatibility – even more surprising, the version for the Xbox One X is limited to 1080p.
All this caused discontent among the community, and the publisher was in the middle of a heated discussion – and unexpectedly confirmedthat Biomutant will have full versions for the next generation of consoles. They will tell about it “soon” – there is no information about a potential upgrade for the owners of the game yet.
“Now the game is not released on PS5 and Xbox Series – there the game works under backward compatibility and, thanks to more powerful hardware, shows better performance. Native nextgen versions are in the works, but we can’t share details yet“.
Biomutant launches on May 25 on PS4, Xbox Series and PC.
