Battlefield, Titanfall and Mirror’s Edge tested on Xbox Series with 120 FPS

Now in Digital foundry disassembled some of the projects with improvements.

Most of the new products can now run at 120 FPS, but some did not improve for the younger Series S – only for Series X. However, there were also graphic compromises, including settings for the Xbox One S, and not the Xbox One X.

Briefly about the main thing:

  • Battlefield 4 works on both Series at 720p, since the game was never improved for the One X. There are almost no questions about performance – 120 FPS in most scenes, however, there are inexplicable drops online to 90-95 FPS;
  • Battlefield 1 and Battlefield v work with FPS Boost only on Series X, but through settings for One S at 972p and 1080p respectively. There are no questions about performance – stable 120 FPS;
  • Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst not improved for One X, so on Series X they use settings for One S anyway – 120 FPS at 936p;
  • Titanfall – stable 120 FPS @ 720p on Series X;
  • Titanfall 2 shows a stable 120 FPS on Series X at 810p, but drops occasionally appear on Series S at the same resolution – but mostly small.
