Browser Wii U from Nintendo repeatedly recognized as one of the most convenient of all gaming systems, and many owners of the console actively used it to consume video content on a large screen. Unfortunately, with the withdrawal of Wii U from production, it stopped updating and began to gradually lose opportunities.
So, this week, the owners of the set-top box lost the opportunity to watch videos from YouTube – the video platform site no longer supports the Wii U browser. As for the official YouTube application for Wii U, it has long ceased to work.
You can still watch videos from other resources in the Wii U browser – either directly or by switching the user agent in the settings. But not every page works correctly.
Wii U production was discontinued in early 2017. Interestingly, after that, the cost of sealed consoles rose sharply.
