Energy company Utilita within its campaign Energy High 5 decided to explore stereotypes about typical gamers – one of the main consumers of electricity. And for this she interviewed more than nine million families that have game lovers.
Games, judging by the survey, are fond of both men and women. But men prefer Call of duty or Fortnite, first person shooters or sports simulations. Women most often play strategy and puzzles, and not on consoles, but on mobile devices.
Women devote about half an hour a day to games, men an hour and 40 minutes, and most of this time is spent at the console. Playstation… And about a third of console owners leave it in sleep mode, thus wasting energy.
According to Utilita, gamers spend around £ 166 annually on consoles, games and add-ons. And another £ 150 a year costs them the habit of keeping the console on.
