A game with an unusual name VVVVVV ten years old: the arcade platformer was released on January 11, 2010. And its creator, Terry Cavana, also celebrated the anniversary unusually: by publishing the source of the project.
The source code is open for two options: C ++ for PC and Actionscript for mobile platforms. License Github does not allow its use for commercial purposes. A special license allows you to use game resources, graphics and music only for personal purposes.
VVVVVV is a platformer in the spirit of classic games for the Atari 2600. In it, the hero cannot jump and can only fall. Fortunately, the player can change the direction of gravity, the main thing is to do it at the right time.
A couple of years after the release of VVVVVV, Terry Cavana released a sophisticated music arcade Super hexagon. In 2013, she was nominated for the title of Best Indie Project Golden Joystick Awards and claimed the title of best British game at the ceremony BAFTA.
