The plot explanation is pretty simple – we just saw it last week. Ash from Titanfall 2 founded her own games with completely different rules. These are the “Arenas”.
The main goal of introducing the mode is to shake up Apex Legends and attract a new audience.
Conceptually “Arenas” remind Counter-Strike or Valorant: Short 3v3 matches are divided into rounds. To win, you need to win by two rounds, but there can be no more than nine rounds. In the case of protracted battles, it will be decisive.
Between rounds, players have to buy equipment and weapons (they can be improved), however, at the beginning of each battle, everything except currency is reset. The better you play, the more points you get for the store.
Weapon pumping is simple – in fact, the player chooses the level of rarity of the equipment and the scope.
At the start there will be two permanent “Arenas” – they are inspired by famous locations, but their structure is completely unique for the mode. In addition, the developers plan to rotate the finished levels from the battle royale maps.
The Season 9 gameplay trailer, which Respawn considers to be something like Apex Legends 2.0, also introduces a new heroine (Valkyrie), a draw bow, Battle Pass features, and the like.
Apex Legends: Legacy kicks off on May 4th.
