Are the Serial Cleaner authors making a game under license from Paradox Interactive – Bloodlines 2? – review addiction

Polish studio Draw Distance, which became famous for its non-standard strategy Serial Cleaner, cemented its success with a series of visual novels Vampire: The Masquerade… And now the studio has announced a new stage: an agreement with the publishing house Paradox Interactive

The subject of the agreement was some intellectual property of Paradox Interactive, to which Draw Distance receives a non-exclusive (with the right to issue licenses to others) license for production and an exclusive – for publication and distribution.

The result of the contract should be the creation of a role-playing game, which has so far been codenamed Project cardinal… Draw Distance will also be responsible for its marketing, distribution and advertising campaign. Funds for this are allocated by both parties.

The method of dividing the proceeds from the game remains a mystery. But if the project does not bring the specified minimum profit, then Draw Distance will lose its license to sell and a certain share of income. The release of the game will take place no earlier than 2023.

About what kind of project the authors will work on Coteries of New York and Shadows of new york, there are quite definite assumptions. We remember that just a couple of weeks ago Paradox Interactive suspended the studio Hardsuit labs from development Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

It is likely that it is the lost developer Bloodlines 2 who is hiding under the name Project Cardinal. But official confirmation of this theory will not appear soon.
