Company Apple working on a do-it-yourself VR headset with a cloth case, fan, and an expensive price tag. As reported by the publication Bloomberg, the device may go on sale as early as 2023.
According to the information provided, for the VR headset, Apple is designing “One of the most advanced and powerful chips” company that outperforms the processor M1… Also, the journalists said that the manufacturer faced problems while developing the device – some prototypes were too large and heavy.
One of the tested VR headsets, codenamed N301 the size is the same Oculus Quest… And other prototypes contain external cameras for augmented reality functions. Apple is also testing the ability to use hand-tracking sensors and software features such as the virtual keyboard.
It will reportedly be an expensive and niche device that will be sold strictly one at a time as Apple aims to manufacture less than 200,000 VR headsets per year. At least for the first time.
