The gloomy middle ages with the dominance of rats are a thing of the past, studio Fatshark announced a new game in another, no less famous universe Warhammer… The developers of both parts of Vermintide announced the creation of a project called Darktide, which is due to be released in 2023.
They presented the Warhammer 40,000: Darktide trailer at the Xbox Games Showcase, where the audience was shown a handful of beaten heroes chased by bloodthirsty creatures to wild heavy metal.
The authors promise a cooperative first-person shooter for four, which takes place in the hive city of Tertium, where a reconnaissance squad of soldiers of the Imperial Guard is sent to suppress the uprising.
Arriving at the place, the gallant team finds out that the forces of chaos have infected the local residents, turning them into deformed howling creatures.
“I will learn more when they return,” the narrator says, presenting the scout report to the Lord Inquisitor. “If they come back.”
The Warhammer 40,000: Darktide page is now live on Steam and will be a temporary Xbox Series X exclusive on consoles.
