The editors of another printed gaming magazine today announced the termination of work. Console Dedicated Xbox English edition Official Xbox Magazine, coming out for almost two decades, writes Eurogamer.
In parallel with the closure of Official Xbox Magazine, Future is stopping five more different magazines. From gaming, it will continue to release in the UK PlayStation Official Magazine – UK and EDGE. At the same time, the editors of Eurogamer heard about Future’s decision to cut the budgets of the print press about games.
The publisher’s management calls the event “forced restructuring,” pointing to a drop in sales of print magazines in parallel with a general decline in gaming retail.
Last month, Dengeki PlayStation, one of Japan’s oldest gaming magazines, was shut down..
