An updated version of Escape from New York will be released in cinemas in Russia

This is a 2018 restoration that will allow the original movie to be seen in 4K. The publication was approved by the director John Carpenter and operator Dina Kandy… All screenings will be in original language with subtitles, and the list of participating cities will be announced at a later date.

The main character, who was injected with a deadly drug, must get out of the danger zone as soon as possible in order to get an antidote.

Russell’s character image, among other things, later served as one of the sources of inspiration for Snake from Metal Gear Solid.
