AMD and Oxide Games promise to improve cloud gaming – review

AMD and Oxide games announced a collaboration to jointly develop graphics technologies for the growing cloud gaming market.

It is assumed that the hardware of the “red team” along with gaming technology and the engine Nitrous engine allow you to create a reliable set of tools and technologies for cloud rendering.

There are no technical details of the project and data on the release dates of the finished solution. However, AMD has already stated that Oxide is an ideal partner for the company, as it expands the capabilities of gamers, providing them with high quality games.

Scott Herkelman, corporate vice president and general manager of AMD’s graphics division, said the company prides itself on being able to push the boundaries of what technology can do to improve gameplay.

In general, if we ignore marketing promises, then we are clearly talking about simplifying the creation of cloud games, “which gamers could not imagine.” According to Oxide Games president Mark Meyer, the Nitrous engine was designed for just that.
