In a new interview, the writer Michael Connelly told that the serial version Lincoln for a lawyerthat CBS has abandoned may tackle Amazon.
The project, based on the eponymous painting and novel, was to become a legal drama, authored by David E. Kelly (“Big little lie”) But after CBS did not start the series, other market players aimed at it.
One of them, according to Connelly, could be Amazon, where another adaptation of the author’s work is already coming out – police drama Bosch. The deal has not yet been concluded, but taking into account the success of the previous film adaptation – there are chances for its success.
According to the writer, the cancellation of the project at CBS was affected by the ubiquitous coronavirus, due to a pandemic which broke the filming of the project, after which the channel decided to completely abandon it.
The story is dedicated to attorney Mickey Holler, who seeks to prevent the conviction of clients at almost any cost. And one day he gets into the hands of the complicated case of a realtor, who is accused of murdering a prostitute.
The role of the protagonist in the film by Brad Furman in 2011, by the way, played Matthew McConaughey.
