Amazon decided to return Crucible to the closed testing phase, effectively canceling the recent release.
Initially, the game was released in late May, but the novelty did not attract attention – the peak of the players did not exceed 200 people, which is fatal for a network shooter. The developers even had to remove two of the three modes to speed up the search for matches.
The team will continue to adhere to the previously presented plan, working on improving maps, combat systems and other mechanics.
All current Crucible players will retain access to the game and all progress. They will be able to continue to play. Moreover, the in-game store will continue to work. New players who want to join tomorrow will have to leave a request on the game’s website.
