“Already working on a new AAA game”: Lead Screenwriter Fallout: New Vegas and Horizon: Zero Dawn quits Guerrilla Games

Leading screenwriter of a role-playing action movie Horizon: Zero Dawn John Gonzales quit Guerrilla games and joined an unnamed Spanish studio, where he had already begun work on a new AAA game in the open world. He wrote about this in his LinkedIn.

According to Gonzales, his new colleagues are “insanely ambitious.” He will help them as a narrative director. The secret game is created by the original intellectual property – the new IP.

Gonzales stressed that his work on the continuation of Horizon: Zero Dawn – Horizon: Forbidden West for Playstation 5 – already completed. He created the main story, planning every step Eloy, and prescribed all the main characters. Therefore, fans of the plot of the original may not worry – the author of the second part is the same.

Prior to joining Guerrilla Games, Gonzales was the lead screenwriter for the role-playing game. Fallout: New Vegas, which was created in the studio Obsidian entertainment by order Bethesda.

Horizon: Forbidden West will be released in 2023, and the first part will soon start on PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
