Alive and developing: Diablo IV developers talked about the skill system and features of one of the playable classes

Company Blizzard Entertainment updated the development status of an upcoming RPG Diablo iv, having told in more detail about the system of development and improvement of skills, class features “Sorcerer“and the post-game progression system.

So, the early version of the development tree visually resembles a real tree with numerous branches, on which both active skills and passive talents are located, which give certain bonuses to the abilities and characteristics of the character

Active skills are displayed in square icons, and round icons are responsible for passive bonuses. Developing towards certain “branches“, at some point the player will unlock additional points that can be spent in the section at the base of the tree, gaining access to especially powerful modifiers of abilities.

Talking about class “Sorcerers“, Blizzard showed interesting mechanics “Spells“. By discovering active skills, players can not only use them for their intended purpose as defensive or attacking techniques, but place them in a special slot.”Spells“, thanks to which the character receives another passive bonus.

According to Blizzard, thanks to this mechanic, users will be able to fine-tune their characters, mixing active skills to assemble unique builds. In its turn other game classes should also acquire unique gameplay features, which will add even more variety to the project

As for the endgame progression, here the developers promise a completely new system, not similar in principle to “Paragon“from Diablo iii… Blizzard notes that endgame is a very important part of the entire gaming experience, so this aspect will be given enough time and effort. Announcement Diablo iv took place last year. Now the project does not even have an approximate release date.
