Famous screenwriter Chris Avelloneknown for working on games like Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Fallout: New Vegas and Planescape: torment, has been accused of sexual harassment and rampant lifestyle.
Accusations against Avellona put forward by a Carissa, which, presumably, was his close friend and colleague when working at various public events. In a long series of messages, the girl spoke about a number of unpleasant stories that connect her with an eminent figure in the industry, occurred between 2013 and 2015.
So, Carissa recalls the case when Avellone allegedly gave her a drink and escorted her to her room in order to take advantage of the defenseless state of the girl and persuade her to have sex, but Carissa was able to refuse him. Next, she talked about the fact that for several days she saw Avellone in the company of other girls (mostly young) who found themselves in a similar situation.
However, Carissa continued to maintain a relationship with Chris, and at some point even introduced him to her close friend. The girl admitted that she regrets this act, because in the end she doomed the loved one to a whole year of stress and anxiety caused by the actions of Avellone. As an example, Carissa cites the day when Avellone once again went over with alcohol, made a scandal in a restaurant and left his companion, forcing her to go looking for him in complete solitude in the dark.
In the end, tired of the behavior of Avellone, Carissa, along with two other employees of a certain exhibition or conference (the girl does not give exact data) filed a collective complaint against the developer, because of which his surname was added to the local black lists.
But, according to the girl, the sad experience did not force Avellona to reconsider his attitude to life, and over the next few years, the scriptwriter immediately changed several jobs and projects on which he worked.
It is noteworthy that an indie developer reacted to the words of Carissa Kelly Bristol and added more oil to the fire, stating that in 2014, Avellone actively spread his arms and insisted that they retire in his room.
But the reaction to what is happening from the very Chris Avellone followed not the most unambiguous. The scriptwriter did not make loud statements, defend himself or deny the accusations, but only clarified several important points and apologized to Carissa’s friend, whom she told about as part of her revelations.
“Karissa hates me, it’s true. She hates me very much, and I don’t know how to fix it. But I understand that, having offended someone else’s friend very much, it’s just not possible to restore relations. Everyone should be decided by people who directly affected what happened. And there is no need to somehow “support” me, I just don’t need it, “Avellone wrote on his personal blog.
