This is how a person works. We all know the feeling of anxiety that arises when we hear a strange sound in the dark.
We do not know the nature of our fears and what drives us when we step towards the unknown. But we take this step, fight or run, fearing for our lives, because it is so inherent in our nature. This is what made our ancestors create myths and legends … perhaps because, compared with fantasy, reality seemed incomparably more terrible and fraught with mortal dangers. ”
Resident Evil Village is created on the latest version of RE Engine, which provides a decent PS5 picture.
In the debut trailer, the developers showed several scenes with a small town drowning in snow. On some frames, you can notice amazing detailing of the characters, demonstrating the work of the updated engine.

The plot of Resident Evil Village takes place a few years after the events of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, in which the main character Ethan Winters went to Louisiana in search of his missing wife. In the new part, Miya and Ethan reunite and live together, trying not to recall the horrors that fell on their lot a few years earlier.
Their serene life does not last long. Suddenly, an old friend of Chris Redfield appears at their place, and events begin to develop rapidly. The story leads Ethan to a mysterious town where the hero hopes to find an explanation for the strange behavior of his friend.
Unlike the Baker’s chilling corridors, Resident Evil Village takes place in dilapidated houses and among snow-covered trees. Now Ethan’s main fears lie in the unknown. While the main character wanders in search of an answer, the tension is growing.
The story is still conducted in the first person, which makes the battle with the enemies really awesome. Each meeting with the enemy threatens to turn into a deadly battle and forces you to constantly explore the world around you in search of resources.
Unlike the previous game, the authors of Resident Evil Village made a bias towards action. They focused on fights and exploration of the world. According to the developers, the town itself becomes an important character in the game with its own secrets, which more than once will make users shudder with horror.
Resident Evil Village will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC in 2023.
