Future Fatal frame largely depends on the success of the reissue Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, which will be released at the end of October on all current platforms.
According to series producer Keisuke Kikuchi, Koei Tecmo specially releases a remaster on a large number of platforms – they want to make the series more popular, and in the future they want to develop it further with due attention from the audience.
“I hope for a new Fatal Frame. This year, the remaster of Maiden of Black Water has become a kind of gift for the 20th anniversary of the series, thanks to which new players will be able to get to know the series. Hope this helps with my next job“.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water was originally released exclusively for Wii U and received mixed reviews from critics. Among the shortcomings, both the gameplay and the plot and horror elements were noted.
Maiden of Black Water will be re-released on October 28 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
