Studio DICE published a teaser for a short CGI movie “Exodus” (Exodus) based on the Battlefield 2042… The premiere will take place on 12 August.
The name of the game refers to Battlefield 2142, in which the war began against the backdrop of a new Ice Age. The events of the new game also unfold in the future, but not so distant.
Due to the reduction of energy reserves, food and clean water, Russia and the United States are unleashing a global conflict, while many other states have simply collapsed, unable to cope with the crisis. The “restless” refugees will have to choose one of two sides in this war for survival.
As you already know, there will be no storyline campaign in BF 2042. Instead, the story will be told through videos like this. Apparently, the developers took short films based on Apex legends and Call of duty warzone…
The shooter will be released on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PS4 and PS5 on October 22, 2023. That being said, the developers still haven’t shown the “Dangerous zone“which will supposedly be a rethinking”Battle royale“.
