General director Microsoft Satya Nadella said the Xbox Series X and S are the fastest selling consoles of any of the company’s systems. However, the exact figures are not named.
In addition, the executive reaffirmed Microsoft’s commitment to focus on video games and Xbox Game Pass.
The latter, according to Nadella, is expanding rapidly, changing people’s perceptions of how to discover and enjoy new games. And Xbox Game Pass subscribers play more projects – about 40% – and spend 50% more time there than those without a subscription.
Microsoft also said that the company’s gaming segment revenues in the last quarter grew by $ 357 million (or 11%), compared to last year. And the sales figures for iron increased by 172% – thanks to the release of the same new Xbox.
At the same time, revenues from Xbox games and services decreased by $ 128 million (or 4%) due to a decrease in the performance of third-party games. But all this, according to Microsoft, is partially offset by the growth of Xbox Game Pass and the increase in the performance of its own games.
