Yesterday we wrote that descriptions of three new games were found on the network Bloober team under working titles H2O, Black and Dum spiro… However, as it soon became clear, all three projects are far from new. One of these games has already been released, the second will never be released, and we have known about the third for a couple of years.
Bloober Team head Piotr Babeno in response to Michal Krul’s tweet characterized the hype surrounding the find as “much ado about nothing.” As it turned out, all three games have been familiar to us for a long time, and the only confusion was that they were not immediately associated with working names.
So H2O was the codename Layers of Fear 2… The game itself was released in 2019, and in May of this year it was ported to the Nintendo Switch.
Dum Spiro was announced in 2016 and the program Creative Europe allocated 150 thousand euros for the game. However, the project never left the pre-production stage and the chances that someday the Bloober Team will return to this idea are slim.
Finally, the first descriptions of Black appeared on the Creative Europe website in 2019. Work on a game featuring aliens in the Middle Ages is still ongoing, but it is not known when we will hear the official announcement.
As for what the Bloober Team is working on, the studio itself has already talked about this a long time ago. Creators The medium want to move on to creating high-budget games and release them every one and a half to two years. The first of these projects is being created in collaboration with Konami, and a new part is suspected of him Silent Hillalthough neither side has confirmed this.
