Film Festival Tribeca 2023 presented a line of video game nominees – they were included in the official program for the first time.
Eight projects will take part in the struggle for the festival award, among them:
- Twelve minutes
- Harold halibut
- Kena: Bridge of Spirits
- Lost in Random
- NORCO
- Sable
- Signalis.
For the new section, a special commission was previously created, which, among others, included Jeff Keely, Hideo Kojima, Sam Lake and Jon Favreau. Among all projects, the one that has demonstrated the most outstanding artistic qualities, especially concerning the storytelling, will be chosen.
The festival itself will be held from June 9 to June 20, where demo versions of projects will be available. At the same time, the games at the festival have been celebrated since 2011, when the program included L.A. Noire.
