Raven is working on porting Call of Duty: Warzone on next-gen consoles – Battle Royale is now only available on them through backward compatibility.
Because of this, PS5 and Xbox Series owners are deprived of many platform capabilities. In the case of the PS5, the DualSense features are particularly affected – in Black ops cold war each weapon has a unique profile for adaptive triggers, something that Warzone now lacks.
In addition, Backward Compatibility for Battle Royale takes significantly longer to load than the native Black Ops Cold War versions on nextgen consoles – this will also change with the release of the full version of Battle Royale on PS5 and Xbox Series.
Raven is also considering adding a slider for adjusting the field of view – a first in the series such an opportunity appeared on consoles last year thanks to Cold War.
