Publisher Ubisoft confirmed that the launch of the free online mode for the hacker thriller Watch dogs legion will take place on March 9 this year. Initially, its start was supposed to take place back in December last year, but the developers preferred focus on troubleshooting single player problems.
The multiplayer will offer players the following features:
- Co-op mode in an open world for four players, in which they have to explore London, complete various joint tasks and take part in additional events;
- New co-op missions for two to four players, using new gameplay mechanics and giving gamers the opportunity to recruit the perfect team to face threats in the most iconic locations in London;
- Composed of five interlocking story missions, the first four-player co-operative Leader of the Pack;
- A competitive Spiderbot Arena mode, in which players fight each other while controlling spiderbots.
For Season Pass Holders Watch Dogs: Legion on the same day, two new single missions will become available:
- Guardian protocol – Players are challenged to find an algorithm that can allow the AI to reverse human decisions;
- Not in Our Name – an unknown group of hackers impersonate DedSec and steal information, using it to blackmail their victims.
