Drew Murray, who until recently was design director of Microsoft’s new studio called The Initiative, has returned to Insomniac Games

Murray left Insomniac Games a few years ago after ten years in the studio, becoming one of the co-founders The Initiative in Santa Monica. Three weeks ago, he announced that he decided to leave the team. Xbox for personal reasons, explaining that he wants to devote more time to his personal life

He left behind a team of veterans led by leader Darrell Gallagher and game director Daniel Neuburger, who were previously in charge of the Tomb Raider series at Crystal Dynamics. The developer noted that he was glad to work side by side with a talented and experienced team, many of whose representatives became his friends, and pins the best hopes on her debut project Perfect dark for Xbox Series X / S and PC

At the old-new place of work, Murray took the position of chief designer… Before leaving Insomniac, he worked his way up from Resistance: Fall of Man Designer to Resistance 3 Lead Designer and Sunset Overdrive Game Director. Now the studio is preparing for release Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart for Playstation 5
