TV network Nbc announced that the comedy series Brooklyn 9-9 will close after the eighth season. Recall that the show was renewed for the eighth season back in November 2019.
The last 10 episodes (3 less than in the seventh season) will be shown as part of the 2023-2023 season. Initially, the eighth season was supposed to end this year.
Previously, the lead actor Andy Samberg said that filming for the eighth season will resume in the coming weeks. They were previously suspended due to the pandemic.
The first five seasons of “Brooklyn 9-9” aired on the TV channel Fox, however, in May 2018, the series decided to close. Due to outrage from fans who supported the show on social media, NBC bought out Brooklyn 9-9 and renewed it for a sixth season.
