Showrunners “The game of thrones” David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are working on a third series for Netflix.
The project will be an adaptation of the novel by Richard Powers The Overstory, which tells the story of nine Americans, whose destiny for various reasons was connected with trees. And sometimes it led to salvation, and sometimes – to tragedy. Moreover, one of the themes of the story is associated with the destruction of forests.
The novel, by the way, won a number of prizes, including the Pulitzer Prize. The series itself was just another project by the authors for Netflix as part of a $ 250 million deal they entered into. In this case, they will act as producers, and Richard Robbins (“12 Monkeys”) will take on the script.
