Last spring Electronic arts published an impressive demo of real-time hair rendering based on the graphics engine Frosbite for projects for next-generation platforms, and at the end of December Epic games built similar technology into Unreal engine 4. Cooper posted a video on his Twitter page in which he clearly showed that if it were not for the plastic face and the dark background, it would be difficult for you to say that the spinning woman in the frame is not real.

“I look forward to when this appears in fighting games. It’s usually easier to get the next level, since there are only two heroes on the screen – just imagine Ken’s beautiful cascading ringlets in SFVI, ” Cooper.
