And now retail chains have also entered the business, which under normal conditions are extremely reluctant to return money for opened disk versions. Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the exceptions.
According to an official statement from a major American retail chain Best Buy, buyers will be able to issue a refund if they contact one of the stores before December 21, 2023. Then the standard rules will take effect.
The policy change is related not only to the reaction to the deplorable state of the console version of Cyberpunk 2077, but also to cooperation from the product supplier.
Refunds are possible if we are talking about copies for Xbox One and PS4 (regular, collectible and digital versions), but the owners of the PC version are left out. You will also have to return the free steelbooks, otherwise their cost will be withheld when the money is returned.
Update. Press service CD Projekt RED statedthat she is ready to return the money to any disgruntled owner of a physical copy of Cyberpunk 2077. In case of problems when registering a refund through retail chains, the Polish company is ready to pay out of pocket, but an appeal must be written by December 21st.
