Journalist and Insider Rod Breslau (Slasher) drew attention to recent comments from a Twitch representative. According to the statement, the administration of the platform is ready to ban people for using words. Simp, Incel and Virgin (virgin).
Simp is a person who spends money on donations to attractive girls on streams, hoping that they will reciprocate. Inzel – a man who wants to find a sexual partner, but cannot do it in any way, blaming women for his problems.
According to a Twitch comment, using the above three words will not result in an immediate ban. However, the administration is ready to punish people in the event that the terms are repeatedly used in an “offensive form”.
The difficulty lies in the fact that Twitch censors are extremely selective in the performance of their duties, since the platform’s rules are extremely vague. And the warning about using the words Simp, Incel and Virgin is no exception.
