Bloomberg journalist and former editor for Kotaku Jason Schreier revealed the release date of his next book, titled “PRESS RESET: Ruin and Recovery in the Video Game Industry“. We’ll scale down and share the stories of companies such as Irrational Games (BioShock), Visceral Games (Dead Space) and 38 Studios (Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning), on behalf of the professionals who were actually hit by these closings. What did they go through? How did they manage to overcome these difficulties and move on? How does it feel to work in an industry that can seem so damn volatile? “
“The book covers the stories of many people. Some of them burned out and left the gaming industry. Schreier spent about three years writing the book. In his opinion, the stories told in the book can be called wild, shocking, heartbreaking, beautiful, and sometimes even hopeful.
