Swedish holding Embracer Group (THQ Nordic, Deep Silver, Coffee Stain, Amplifier Game Invest, Saber Interactive) announced the acquisition of eight new studios: 4A Games, DECA Games, New World Interactive, Palindrome Interactive, Pow Wow Entertainment, Sola media, Rare Earth Games and Vermila Studios…
- Ukrainian developers of the Metro shooter series are long-term partners of the publishing house Deep silverincluded in Embracer Group… Now a team of 150 employees will work under the label Saber Interactive… It became officially known that 4A Games are currently developing a new part of the Metro franchise, and are also working on a multiplayer live service game with Saber Interactive and a completely new AAA project. Proprietary engine 4A Engine from now on it will be used not only in projects of 4A Games. The deal for the Ukrainian studio may amount to about USD 80 million.
- Studio New World Interactive (Insurgency series) will be independently operated by Saber Interactive. The team is already developing a completely new game, and publishing label Saber will be responsible for the console port of Insurgency: Sandstorm, due out in early 2023.
- Studio Palindrome Interactive (Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars) will operate under the brand name Amplifier Game Invest, which is also owned by a Swedish holding.
- Company Pow Wow Entertainment (Misbits) will join THQ Nordic on two new games. One of them will be based on the already existing THQ Nordic franchise, and the other will be a multiplayer roguelike platformer.
- Studio Vermila Studios (Crisol: Theater of Idols) to join the Amplifier Game Invest label.
- As part of Embracer Group also a new studio has appeared Rare Earth Gamesspecializing in the creation of multiplayer action games for PC, consoles and cloud services.
- DECA Games will operate independently under the management of the Embrace Group. She will be responsible for the release of mobile f2p games.
- Among the acquisitions, in addition to gaming studios, is the company Sola media, which is an agent for the sale of rights to films and series.
