Trading Service Onbuy published the results of an interesting survey-study aimed at analyzing the gaming market and its perception by ordinary users over the past ten years. The method followed by the organizers of the initiative was as follows: several thousand respondents were asked how they evaluate the gaming entertainment industry today and what key negative and negative features they can highlight.
As it turned out, almost half, namely 47% respondents are convinced that in recent years noticeable positive changes have been observed in gaming in general. In its turn 21% respondents believe the situation is the opposite – the industry is gradually deteriorating. The rest of the gamers took a neutral position – in their opinion, nothing has changed much over the years.
Of the positive dynamics, most of the respondents indicated an increased level of the visual component in games and general improvements to the gameplay. Another part of the players praises the pleasant changes in matters of the network component.
As for the negative aspects, there is an increased number of political and social topics inherent in modern releases (Borderlands 3, Battlefield v, The Last of Us Part II), the stable appearance of microtransactions (Star Wars Battlefront 2, FIFA 20, Destiny 2) and the dominance of projects that go on sale in a state far from completion (Fallout 76, No man’s sky, Anthem)

In general, respondents actively recalled such exclusives in the survey Playstation, as The Last of Us Part II, Uncharted 4 and God of war. From projects Nintendo most frequently mentioned Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. And here games available only on Xbox one, not included in any lists.
Another fun statistic is directly related to The Last of Us Part II: according to the data Onbuy, only 26% users went through the game to the final, and 56% stated that they stopped their passage on the conditional half.
