After the announcement FIFA 21 company Electronic arts posted on her website a note with frequently asked questions, where she revealed additional details about the new part of the football simulator.
- Gameplay, as well as career information, modes Volta football, Ultimate team and others will appear in August;
- Game Buyers on Xbox one and Playstation 4 will be able to upgrade to the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions for free, respectively. The offer will be valid for both disk and digital copies until the release of FIFA 22, but owners of physical publications will be able to update the game only on the XSX and PS5 with a drive for reading disks – you can’t get a digital copy instead of a disk. Another limitation, but with regards to all versions: when switching to a new console, progress will be saved only in Volta Football and Ultimate Team modes;
- If you are going to buy an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5, you can pre-order the version of the game for current consoles right now and automatically get its improved version for non-xstgen. You can read about pre-order bonuses here.;

- On personal computers, the FIFA 21 port will be released from the current generation of consoles. Benefits of the non-xtgen version will be appreciated only by owners of the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Among them:
- Tactile feedback with a sense of the effects of shots, passes, tricks, tackles and power wrestling when playing on the controller Dualense;
- Fast loading stadiums, allowing you to start playing in seconds;
- More beautiful graphics: deferred lighting and rendering, improved footballer models, enhanced detailing, more natural animations and detailed weather, affecting the state of the field and the shape of the players;
- Support for surround sound technology;
- New situational reactions of players, substitutes and fans, adding more emotions to what is happening on the field.
- FIFA 21 will also appear on Switch and Google stadia. The port for the hybrid console will be released Legacy edition, that is, it will be the same stripped down version on the old engine as in the case of the previous parts. From the innovations: updated line-ups, other in-game menus, interface and … that’s it. There will be no new game modes and gameplay innovations.
- Crossplay: Electronic Arts is exploring the possibility of adding cross-play to the EA Sports FIFA linebut can’t say anything specific about the upcoming game.
FIFA 21 release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC (Origin, Steam) will take place October 9th. Other versions are not dated yet.
