It seems that AMD will switch to 5-nanometer CPUs not earlier than 2023 – review

AMD published a fresh document, which included some roadmaps.

According to them, expected by many processors on architecture Zen 4 and the 5-nanometer process technology will be released no earlier than 2023.

The same seems to be true for gaming graphics architecture. RDNA 3 and professional accelerators CDNA 2.

The same confirms the resource Fudzillawho through his channels found out that processors Zen 3 still will be 7nm.

Thus, it is not worth counting on reducing the technical process. As for the prospects, then, most likely, 5-nanometer AMD chips will be produced at capacities TSMC, which has already mastered the appropriate technology.

However, even without five nanometers, a lot of interesting things are expected this year. Next week, the release of the trinity of CPU Matisse refresh, and by the end of the year, Ryzen 4000 for desktops and server chips may appear on the shelves Milan.
