In beta code iOS 14 found a mention of a feature that would allow owners iPhone Run applications without installing them on the device. Opportunity called Clips and is a new API that allows you to run the application on the fly. For this, it is planned to use QR codes.
Clips will simplify the work with applications due to the fact that you can not waste time downloading the full version. This will enable users to evaluate the new product and then download the full-fledged application.
At the moment Apple testing a new feature with several applications, including Doordash, Opentable, PlayStation 4 Second Screen, Yelp and YouTube. However, it is not yet clear when it will be shown to everyone.
It is assumed that the novelty is announced at WWDC 2023, which will be held in an online format.
It is also not yet known whether the release of the final version of iOS 14 is planned on time or the release will be postponed.
