Corporation Microsoft confirmed that the next-generation console controller Xbox Series X By default it will work on two finger batteries. In an interview with the publication Eurogamer team representative Xbox Jason Ronald explained that the decision is due to the great popularity of this approach among gamers.
Microsoft asked the players whether it should continue to work with batteries or switch to creating controllers exclusively with regular batteries, and as a result, opinions were divided approximately equally. After studying the reviews, the engineers decided to leave the batteries in the gamepad, while giving the rest of the players the opportunity to connect a rechargeable battery pack to it. So Microsoft will try to satisfy both camps.
Radically, the design of the Xbox Series X controller compared to the standard Xbox One gamepad did not change, but implemented many small changes. For example, the surface of bumpers and triggers is now not glossy, but matte.
They tried to make the controller as a whole more convenient for people with a wide variety of hand shapes.
