The creators of the unofficial remaster Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition released a new version of the package of improvements for the cult horror. Modification adds support for soft shadows, self-shadowing, improves fog effects and makes the game more bloody.
In addition, the authors increased the range of drawing in certain areas, improved the effects of noise and improved lighting, in particular, eliminating the problem due to which some light sources could not properly illuminate and obscure the main character.
The mod also adds an option. Fog fixwhich brings fog quality closer to the game’s version for Playstation 2 and increases the speed of the camera in accordance with the version of Silent Hill 2 for PS2.
And last but not least, the game now allows you to use only one processor core, which can prevent sound from looping and solve performance problems.
