You can play the PC version of DOOM Eternal even at 1000 FPS – if your hardware pulls

In a conversation with the portal IGN lead studio programmer id Software Billy Kahn discussed the technical side of the March shooter Doom eternal. According to him, engine id Tech 7, on which the game is based, with the necessary iron in terms of power, is able to provide speed up to 1000 FPS. The previous version of id Tech supported a maximum of 250 frames per second.

“There really is no upper limit. I had some hardware here that we collected exclusively for tests, and on it the game in some scenes showed 400 FPS. So for people who have monitors with a frequency of 144 Hz and even higher, “This game will be relevant for many years to come and allow you to truly unleash the potential to use such displays in a truly impressive way.”

Release date Doom eternal will be held on March 20th at Xbox one, Playstation 4, PC and Google stadia. Version for Switch will be released later.
