Video communication system scandal “Yandex.Telemost”Was continued. Chapter “Yandex.Disk»Vladimir Rusinov spoke about why a shortcut to an application for video calls appeared on users’ computers.
He stated that Disk is not just a cloud storage, but an environment in which working tools are collected. That is why there is also “Teleconference”, which is included in this category, because the icon appeared after the “Disk” update. The very same function of video communication is built into the application, therefore it cannot be deleted. However, you can remove the icon itself.
Rusinov explained that the developers wanted to give the opportunity to try a new service without adding it to the client itself. He also admitted that the decision to automatically create the shortcut was a mistake.
So far, nothing has been said about the appearance of a separate Yandex.Telemost application.
