Xbox Series X | S March Update To Add FPS Boost And Auto HDR Disable Option For Backward Compatible Games

Company Microsoft revealed details of a new system update for consoles Xboxcoming out this month. A brief overview of what the software update will offer can be found below

  • Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and Windows 10 will release an updated Xbox Accessories app on March 16th, which will add options for the Xbox Wireless headset, including EQ control, bass boost, mic mute indicator brightness, auto mute sensitivity settings, and tracking microphone use.
  • The Game Settings menu on Xbox Series X | S will allow you to enable or disable FPS Boost and Auto HDR for Backward Compatible titles. You can check their operation by pressing the Xbox button on your controller and looking at the corresponding indicators on the right below the clock.

  • Achievements will return to the Xbox mobile app. The first update arrives this month as part of limited user testing and will include a screen with detailed information on achievements, as well as notifications about their opening, and with the next updates will be added other features such as the leaderboard.
  • Other changes include expanded subscription management on Xbox consoles and further enhancements to the game management experience. Among other things, the TV program will be removed from OneGuide on Xbox One in May.
