The best-selling console of the month was Switch. At the same time, due to problems with supplies, the PS5 sold worse than the Xbox Series, which took second place, and the PS4. The Switch and PS5 are head-to-head in sales in 2023, but the Xbox Series is quickly catching up.
Retail sales of games fell 41% to 650.5 thousand copies. Nintendo took 32.5% of the market, and games for Switch – 49.6%. In total, 1.27 million games were sold last month, which is 63% less than a year earlier.
This April, 600,000 accessories were also sold. This is 33.6% less than last April. The best-selling gamepad was the Xbox Wireless Controller, followed by DualSense.
The Pulse 3D headset is also a success from Sony… The accessory was sold out shortly after the start of sales, and it returned to warehouses only in January this year. Since then, the headset has become the top-selling device in terms of revenue for 13 out of 16 weeks. She also consistently ranked in the top five accessories, both in terms of units sold and revenue.
