Xbox Series S cuts load time in The Outer Worlds by four times without game optimization

Last week Microsoft officially announced Xbox series s and revealed all the details of the console, including a demonstration of the games on the system.

The company, in particular, showed the difference in download speed between Series S and One S using the example The outer worlds… On the new console, the project started from the main menu in 12 seconds, while on the old one it took more than four times as long – 53 seconds.

At the same time, as the director of program management later clarified Xbox Jason Ronald, The Outer Worlds achieved this result on Series S without any optimization – the game was simply launched in backward compatibility mode… Microsoft previously reported that projects that do not receive a special patch for the Xbox Series will still take advantage of SSDs and more powerful hardware, and this has now been clearly confirmed. Additional improvements also include better texture filtering, higher and more stable frame rates, and automatic HDR.

All backward compatible projects will run on Series S with the profile Xbox one s… At the same time, we can expect that after the release of special updates for the new generation, games on Series S will work and look even better in comparison with the previous console.

Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X will start on November 10th at a price of 26,990 rubles and 45,590 rubles, respectively.
