Xbox Game Pass PC subscribers get the best version of NieR: Automata – Steam doesn’t sell it

The computer version of the role-playing action NieR: Automata debuted in Steam in March 2017, however, the quality of the port left much to be desired.

It was described by many players as unplayable and frustrating for a variety of reasons, including locked frame rates, stretched UI on UltraWide monitors, awkward keyboard and mouse controls, and resolution issues that could only be fixed by downloading a third-party program to enable windowed mode without borders. And that’s not counting the brakes and crashes.

Despite numerous complaints, none of these problems have been fixed by the developers. In the end, enthusiasts came to the rescue with their mod. FAR (Fix Automata Resolution), which not only saved the game from some bugs, but also improved the visuals.
