Company Wargaming and developers from Lesta studio announced plans for World of warships naval parade in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in World War II. The ships of the Baltic, Black Sea, Northern and Pacific Fleets will take part in a grand online event.
The ceremonial passage of the ships will take place on May 8 at 10:00 Moscow time in post-war Leningrad in the first half of the sixties. Twenty-nine ships of the Soviet Union and the Allies will pass through the wake system in the waters of the Neva River.
The World of Warships Parade will be commented on by the legendary announcer, Evgeny Khoroshevtsev, the voice of the Parade on Red Square. For over 10 years Evgeny Alexandrovich is the voice of the main holiday of the country.
“For me, this is the first experience of holding a virtual Victory Parade, but the emotions are real!”, – says Evgeny Khoroshevtsev. “Pride in a country that won a great victory, a sense of solemnity and importance of the moment – everything is just like in real life!”
During the parade, he will tell the audience about the ships taking part in the parade, their military merits. Viewers will learn about the milestones of the history of the Navy during the Great Patriotic War and the post-war period.

Ships transferred by the Allies also fought in the USSR Navy. One of them, the light cruiser “Milwaukee“, was transferred to the Soviet Union by the United States in the forty-fourth year. Having received a new name”Murmansk“, the light cruiser became part of the Northern Fleet, where he served until the end of the war. In 1949, the Murmansk was returned to the Americans.
Arctic convoys, delivering weapons, equipment, and ammunition from the ports of the USA, Great Britain, Iceland to Arkhangelsk and Murmansk, made a significant contribution to the Victory.
Accompanied by convoys, warships of Great Britain, the USA and the USSR took part, which can also be seen at the World of Warships parade.
